OVERVIEW-4 Lessons & 12 Meditation Practices.
In this four-part Meditation Series, you will learn techniques for Focus and Concentration in order to bring Balance and Harmony to your mind and your life.
Each lesson is based on the advice our yogic ancestors provided on how to develop the mind into a tool for cultivating contentment.
- First, we go inside in an effort to limit outside stimulation.
- Second, we commit to practices that focus our thoughts.
- Third, we develop the ability to concentrate for longer periods of time.
In this beginner’s series, we will work to cultivate more focus and concentration to bring us more personal contentment.
EACH VIDEO WILL INTRODUCE ANCIENT TOOLS:
- Mudra – how we hold our hands is how we hold our minds.
- Mantra – the use of repetition of a syllable or phrase to bring focus to our mind.
- Pranayama –breath exercises used to pull us back from mental distractions.
These tools will help us develop a one-point focus to access more contentment. A downloadable Meditation Log and a copy of The Prayer for All Beings is also part of the curriculum.
